Announcement: Due to rapidly escalating costs for meeting accommodation, etc, we were forced to take a difficult choice: continue with the meetings for another year, but that would have used all of our savings and see the end of the Wallsend Self Help Group entirely, or switch to an online presence where we could offer ongoing support and advice and safeguard the future of WSHG. The decision was the most difficult decision we have ever had to make: and we chose to continue online. Fortunately, thanks to the internet we are still able to continue to offer help, advice and support to those who suffer from stress related problems, and the help from WSHG is provided free to those who need it.

The information below is provided for historical information only. WSHG no longer hold any meetings and all advice and support is now available online or in our Book, "Breaking Free From The Anxiety Trap", our Emotions CD and our Helpful Hints Booklet.

Our informal meetings, which were held alternate Wednesday evenings, included:

  • Relaxation session with correct breathing techniques.
  • Gentle exercise session including Tai Chi.
  • Aromatherapy massage (by appointment only).
  • Guest Speakers.
  • Extensive library of videos, books and tapes available for members to borrow.
  • Refreshments at meetings.
  • Discussions on all relevant subjects including some information handouts.
